Mountain Weather Forecasts Links & Current Conditions
For Mountain Areas and Related Urban Centres in Last updated |
Welcome to the Mountain Weather Forecasts Links page. If this is your first time on this page, please read this information. If you are a regular user, you may choose to jump ahead to the Alberta forecasts, BC forecasts, current climbing conditions or weather images. The weather forecasts and conditions information linked to here is NOT produced by Rescue Dynamics. The objective is to list the important Mountain Weather links ON ONE PAGE without having to search or wait for large, slow or cumbersome graphic elements to load replete with frames, banners and other extraneous filler. Much of the information linked here is produced by Environment Canada and found on The Weather Office servers. We also link extensively to information from The Weather Network (TWN) and the Weather Underground. The very best weather forecast for the province of Alberta is from the Alberta Forest Sevice and is technical in nature. It is produced by the Government of Alberta - Sustainable Resource Development during the summer for forest fire season only (April through October). Webcams are from The Weather Network (TWN) or The Weather Office. Satellite Images are mostly from Environment Canada. Road Reports are from the Alberta Motor Association (AMA) and The Weather Network (TWN). Avalanche Bulletins and discussion pages are from the Canadian Avalanche Association, Parks Canada or Kananaskis Park. We strongly encourage you to visit these servers to discover the other products and information they provide. In autumn 2003 this page was enhanced to include links to various current conditions pages and discussion boards that regularly carry information on current climbing, hiking and skiing conditions. Please let us know if you think this approach is helpful.
